Independence debate in Inverness

A BBC Radio Scotland independence referendum debate has been held in Inverness.

Recorded in front of a mixed audience of "Yes", "No" and undecided voters, a range of issues which could sway the vote were discussed.

The participants were Garry Coutts, Lib Dem MP Danny Alexander, SNP MP Angus Robertson and Michelle Thomson of Business Scotland.

The panel was chaired by reporter Craig Anderson.

The referendum will be held on 18 September when voters will be asked the Yes/No question: "Should Scotland be an independent country?"
