WWI heroes' stories uncovered by Strathblane villagers
Locals in the village of Strathblane, Stirlingshire, have uncovered the stories behind local recruits who fought in World War One.
The names of 27 men are carved on a local war memorial, which prompted a local historian to start researching their past.
The stories of recruits, including 19-year-old Pte James MacIntyre who died in 1916, have since been published in a book.
BBC Scotland's Catriona Renton reports.
