Autumn Statement: Holyrood must 'be accountable' says Carmichael

Chancellor George Osborne has made his autumn statement in the House of Commons.

Mr Osborne said that almost £250m would come to Scotland in the next financial year as a result of the spending review.

Secretary of State for Scotland Alistair Carmichael told the BBC that the Scottish government would be responsible for how the money was spent: "They will have to be accountable for how they spend that money, £2.3bn extra as a result of the spending decisions we've taken here since 2010."
