Snow brings disruption across Scotland

Snowfall has caused travel disruption across the country and led to dozens of schools being closed.

There have been numerous minor accidents on Scotland's roads and traffic was tailed back for miles on the A9 after heavy lorries had problems negotiating a steep hill.

Police Scotland have urged motorists to consider whether their journey is necessary and to ensure they are adequately prepared for the road conditions.

BBC Scotland's Craig Anderson reports.
