Last axed Scottish courts close in cost-saving bid
Four sheriff courts in Scotland have closed their doors in the final phase of a programme of closures.
Haddington, Duns, Peebles and Dingwall are among 17 sheriff and JP courts which have been axed in the last 18 months in a cost cutting exercise.
The Scottish Courts Service say the closures are final but campaigners in Haddington will hold a public meeting to outline a plan to ensure their local court has a future.
BBC Scotland's Joanne Macaulay reports.
