Scottish Labour conference: Future fund pledge to young not in education

Jim Murphy says his party will create a "future fund" of £1,600 for all 18 and 19 year olds to help tackle inequality.

The Scottish Labour leader made the announcement during his keynote speech at the Scottish Labour Party conference in Edinburgh.

In an appeal to voters, Mr Murphy said this was his party's answer to ending intergenerational poverty and an address to years of austerity under the Conservatives.
