Argyll islands could lose air service

Flights to some Argyll islands could stop on 16 May when the current contract between Argyll and Bute Council and Hebridean Air Services expires.

Hebridean Air Services announced at the weekend that they may have to cancel flights between Oban, Coll, Colonsay and Tiree because they had not signed a new contract with the local authority.

The council has accused the firm of walking away from negotiations.
