Law change to microchip all dogs in Scotland

The law on pet ownership will make it compulsory to microchip every dog in Scotland from Wednesday.

It is hoped that the change will make dog owners more responsible and make it easier for animals to be returned home.

The Dogs Trust charity said that more than 1,000 dogs in Scotland became strays last year.

BBC Scotland's Ena Miller reports.
