Paige Doherty's mother: 'Sleep tight beautiful girl'

The mother of a murdered teenager has told mourners to remember the happiness that her daughter brought to those who knew her.

A funeral service has been held for 15-year-old Paige Doherty almost a month after her body was found in a wooded area in Clydebank.

Pamela Munro said: "Today will be the saddest and hardest day most of us will ever face... our daughter had a smile across her face and that's exactly how she should be remembered."

Those attending the service at St Margaret's Catholic Church, Clydebank, being led by Canon Gerard Tartaglia, were asked to wear bright colours.

John Leathem, 31, has appeared in court charged with murdering her.
