Gap in university access 'greater in Scotland'

Scotland has lagged behind England in getting young people from poorer backgrounds straight from school to university, according to a report.

The study from the University of Edinburgh and the Sutton Trust argues that a cap on the number of university places makes it harder for disadvantaged students to get accepted.
