Scottish military deaths during Iraq campaign
The Chilcot Inquiry into the UK’s decision to join the invasion of Iraq in 2003 has been published.
The inquiry was set up by former Prime Minister Gordon Brown in June 2009, to look into the run-up to the invasion of Iraq and its aftermath
Nineteen Scottish servicemen died during the campaign that followed.
Many were killed by roadside bombs or in clashes with insurgents while on patrol; others died as a result of accidents and natural causes.
