Designers seek to reinvent Scottish souvenirs
A group of designers has joined forces to reinvent the image of traditional Scottish souvenirs.
The ubiquitous tartan scarves and Jimmy hats have been replaced by goods with an emphasis on design and craft skills.
The end result has gone on display in Edinburgh Airport to present an alternative view of the country to tourists as they arrive for the city's festivals.
BBC Scotland's Steven Godden joined the throngs on the Royal Mile to gauge whether these new souvenirs could catch on.
