General election 2017: Berwickshire, Roxburgh and Selkirk hustings

The BBC has hosted a special election hustings for the Berwickshire, Roxburgh and Selkirk constituency ahead of the general election on 8 June.

Held in Scotland’s most marginal seat, the debate took place in the Borders College Campus in Galashiels. The discussion started with a second independence referendum and the constitution.

The panel then moved on to local issues including the Common Agricultural Policy, fishing and good access to both broadband and mobile reception.

The discussion was chaired by BBC Scotland political correspondent Andrew Kerr (third from left) with panellists: Euan Robson, Liberal Democrat (standing in for the candidate, Caroline Burgess); Calum Kerr, SNP; John Lamont, Conservative; and Ian Davidson, Labour.
