SNP and Labour politicians debate fracking controversies

Two politicians, Mike Weir from the SNP and Lewis Macdonald from Labour, debate the controversial gas drilling technique known as fracking.

Mr Weir insisted that until Holyrood had the powers over licensing it could not put a moratorium in place.

Mr Macdonald disagreed saying that Scotland did have the powers it needed to "deal with this straight away".

The politicians were discussing the issue on BBC Radio Scotland's Good Morning Scotland programme ahead of a statement to Holyrood by energy minister Fergus Ewing.
