Election 2017: SNP at Westminster been 'effective opposition'

Leader of the SNP Nicola Sturgeon has insisted that during the last two years her party at Westminster has been the "effective opposition".

She told BBC Scotland's political editor Brian Taylor that by "common consent" the nationalists, although not the official opposition, had been holding the Conservative government to account.

Ms Sturgeon was speaking on the day the SNP published its manifesto for the 8 June general election.
