Scottish Borders winter response seeks public help

With winter fast approaching, Scottish Borders Council is keen that groups in towns and villages across the region come forward to help out when there has been heavy snow, severe weather or another emergency.

Resilient Communities is a project aimed at helping people help themselves and those around them.

Emergency planning officer Jim Fraser told BBC Scotland's Richard Gordon what the scheme was all about.
