Flooded Comrie begins clear-up
Perth and Kinross Council are to speed up plans to improve the flood defences in Comrie, following the village's second flood in four months.
Engineers were commissioned to look into its defence plans after the Water of Ruchill burst its banks in August, following heavy rains. The authority said it would accelerate their proposals for a £1m flood mitigation scheme.
The announcement comes days after the Perthshire village suffered further heavy flooding in which 150 residents were evacuated.
