Welsh mine tragedy: Official inquiry launched

Investigators are trying to discover exactly what caused the Gleision mine to flood in the Swansea Valley, trapping and killing four miners below ground.

Charles Breslin, 62, David Powell, 50, Garry Jenkins, 39, and Phillip Hill, 45, were found underground on Friday.

Welsh Secretary Cheryl Gillan has announced an official inquiry.

An appeal fund has been launched to raise money for relatives.
