Uplands Arts Gilbert and Sullivan Society's struggle

A Gilbert and Sullivan group says it is struggling to stay afloat despite the popularity of musical theatre in general.

Uplands Arts Gilbert and Sullivan Society in Swansea says it is being hit hard by shrinking audiences and rising production costs.

The comic operas were written at the end of the 19th Century and enthusiasts admit Gilbert and Sullivan operas are seen by some as being "a bit staid".
