Farmer and soldier Owen Thomas became unlikely Labour MP

In the first of two special reports, BBC Radio Wales' Sunday Supplement programme looks back at the life of Britain's first Labour MP in a rural constituency.

Owen Thomas - a farmer, soldier and, finally, politician - was elected as Anglesey's first Labour MP in 1918.

But after he died in 1922, he was largely forgotten by all but his own family.
