Environment Agency Wales water supply complacency warning

As parts of England face a dry summer with restrictions on their water use, the debate over how we manage the UK's water resources has begun again.

The head of Welsh Water says it would be "impractical" to send spare water capacity to parts of England that have been hit by drought.

It comes as the Environment Agency announces a hosepipe ban will be put in place in some English counties next month.

BBC Wales environment correspondent Iolo ap Dafydd discussed the issues with Curig Jones, from Environment Agency Wales, at the Llwyn Onn reservoir just north of Merthyr Tydfil.
