Academy schools can work in Wales, says Lord Adonis

Lord Adonis, the former Labour minister and architect of the English school academy system says he believes the model could work well in Wales, if there was the political will to introduce them.

Andrew Adonis tells presenter Vaughan Roderick on BBC Radio Wales' Sunday Supplement programme that the success some English academies have achieved could be replicated in Wales.

However, the Welsh government insists it is sticking with the current comprehensive school model.
