Nicole Cooke retires from cycling and takes swipe at drug cheats
Beijing Olympic champion Nicole Cooke has said she was robbed of wins by drug cheats, and criticised cycling's world governing body for failing to promote women's racing.
Cooke, 29, from Wick, Vale of Glamorgan, said she had come under pressure to take performance-enhancing drugs during her career.
But she added: "I am very happy with my career. I have many happy memories over what's been a life's work."
Ashleigh Crowter reports.
