7,500 Welsh meat producers comply with 'rigorous' process

As investigations continue into the horsemeat scandal, the managing director representing Welsh lamb and beef producers says farmers have to go through rigorous process to sell their meat but claims there is less regulation after it leaves the farm gate.

Don Thomas told Peter Johnson on BBC Radio Wales that the organisation's 7,500 farmers have to comply with all sorts of assurance processes and consumers should be demanding more further along the food supply chain.
