Bristol Channel: Call for Penarth swimmers commemoration

Eighty six years ago they said it couldn't be done - not least by a woman.

But Kathleen Thomas, from Penarth, proved everyone wrong by being the first person to swim the Bristol Channel.

Then, just two years later, 16-year-old Edith Parnell repeated that achievement - the youngest person to do so.

Now there are calls for both women to be commemorated in their home town.
