Wales floods: £47m to be spent boosting defences

The Welsh government will spend £47m on boosting flood defences and tackling coastal erosion over the next year.

Environment Minister John Griffiths made the announcement at a summit on Monday.

Last year serious floods hit north and mid Wales and one woman died.
