Exchange students: Ceredigion ban on staying with families

A ban on allowing schoolchildren to stay with host families during exchange visits has been approved by councillors in Ceredigion.

The policy has been in place since last February, but it had not been discussed by the council's cabinet.

The local authority says it is trying to safeguard young people and ensure their safety, but opponents say it is a step too far.

Cemlyn Davies reports.
