Doors open at merged University of South Wales for 33,500 students

The University of South Wales will be launched later following the merger of the Glamorgan and Newport institutions.

It is Wales' largest university with an estimated 33,500 students and is the sixth biggest in the UK in terms of numbers.

Education correspondent Arwyn Jones assesses the challenges and opportunities for the new University of South Wales.
