Shock in Troedyrhiw at mother and child deaths

Members of the community have spoken of their shock after police discovered the bodies of a mother and baby in a house in a village near Merthyr Tydfil.

The bodies were found by police at a house in Church Street in Troedyrhiw on Wednesday.

The woman has been named locally as Joanne Thomas, who was in her late 20s, and her daughter, who was about six months old.
