Former head teacher's grammar school warning
Welsh Conservative plans to revive elements of the old grammar school system would help to empower pupils, its leader has claimed.
Andrew RT Davies said the current education system was failing pupils in Wales.
The party believes it would raise standards and help social mobility.
But former head teacher Mal Davies, who attended a grammar school and taught in comprehensive schools, said there was a "danger" grammar schools would be seen as the "gold standard" and anything else was not.
