Madeleine Moon MP: UK 'must act on Syria refugees'

A member of the Commons select committee on defence says action must be taken immediately to help Syrian refugees as part of any response to the alleged use of chemical weapons in the country's civil conflict.

David Cameron and Barack Obama have threatened Syria with what they called a "serious response" if it is shown that President Assad's forces had used chemical weapons against civilians in Damascus.

Madeleine Moon, the Labour MP for Bridgend, told Radio Wales's Sunday Supplement programme that the UK does not have the agreement of Nato to intervene nor the capability to do so given current military budgets.

She spoke to Vaughan Roderick.
