Thousands to mark Senghenydd mining disaster anniversary

Next Monday thousands of people will line the streets of Senghenydd in Caerphilly county to mark the 100th anniversary of the town's mining disaster - the worst in British history.

An explosion killed 437 at the Universal Colliery and the people of Senghenydd have never forgotten that day and they will be unveiling a new memorial to commemorate the event.
