University staff strike over pay in Wales

Staff at universities in Wales are taking part in a UK-wide strike over pay.

The action is being organised by three unions, Unison, Unite, and the University and College Union.

The trade unions claim their members have faced years of under-inflation rate pay rises, and are now struggling to meet their bills.

The Universities and Colleges Employers Association says it is disappointed by the move.

Simon Dunn, the regional organiser for Unison in Wales, told Mai Davies of BBC Radio Wales why his members were on picket lines.
