New Gwent Police chief Jeff Farrar wants improvements
The new chief constable of Gwent Police says he wants to see the force improve for both the public and its officers.
Jeff Farrar was named as the new head of the force by the Gwent Police and Crime Commissioner on Friday.
He has been acting chief constable since July, following the decision of Carmel Napier to leave her post.
She had been told by the commissioner, Ian Johnston, to "retire or be removed".
In an interview for BBC Wales, the new chief constable said he wanted to provide a better service for the public, and for his own officers.
