John Hughes exhibition at Norwegian Church in Cardiff
The Ukrainian flag will be hoisted outside the Norwegian Church in Cardiff Bay to mark the start of an exhibition which explores the links between Wales and the former member of the Soviet Union.
It all started around 150 years ago when a man from Merthyr Tydfil emigrated to the country.
John Hughes was a Welsh engineer at Cyfarthfa ironworks but also the founder of a city in Ukraine.
Charlotte Dubenskij reports.
