Injured steelworker Michael Downs recovers with choir
A man from Kenfig Hill who suffered catastrophic injuries in an accident at the Port Talbot steelworks 15 months ago has made a remarkable recovery.
Michael Down, known as Clive by friends, clinically died in the air ambulance and was revived but spent three months in a coma.
Doctors told his wife Carol that he would probably never walk, see or hear again.
But last night at a concert in North Cornelly, he took to the stage for the first time since his accident.
David Grundy reports.
