Melbourne Welsh Church makes £500 air ambulance donation

A church in Australia has made a £500 donation to Wales Air Ambulance.

Christine Boomsma, secretary of the Melbourne Welsh Church, said she was inspired to help the charity after reading about a fund-raising walk it held from Swansea to Caernarfon.

She said the church likes to keep its "connection with anything Welsh".

Ms Boomsma, who was born in Wales before her family emigrated in the 1960s, spoke to Mai Davies on BBC Radio Wales.
