
Dog-walker, 68, cut off by Carmarthenshire tide is named
The coastguard has warned walkers to check high tide times after a woman died when she became cut off by water on a Carmarthenshire beach.
Susan Wendy Hackett, 68, from Cynwyl Elfed in Carmarthenshire, died after being airlifted from the water at 16:24 BST on Sunday.
She had been walking eight dogs with her daughter, 40, at Cefn Sidan when they became stranded.
