Commonwealth Games: Frankie to carry the flag for Wales

Rhythmic gymnast Frankie Jones is to carry the flag as she leads the Welsh team the opening of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow on Wednesday night.

The 23-year-old, who is based in Cardiff but whose father is from Pontypool, is competing in her third Commonwealth Games having represented Wales in Melbourne and in Delhi four years ago, where she won silver.

It will be a fantastic tribute for Frankie, who is aiming to win another medal here, as she prepares for retirement after the games.
