Glasgow 2014: Welsh swimmers keep warm in silver jackets
Hi-tech jackets created by a Welsh firm which specialises in lightweight thermal protective clothes have been helping keep competitors in peak condition at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
Gold medal winning Team Wales swimmer Jazz Carlin is among those who have been wearing the jackets produced by a company in Bethesda, Gwynedd.
Academics in Bangor and Swansea tested the design.
Dr Liam Kilduff, from Swansea University, said it was aimed at preserving body temperature between an athlete's warm-up and the starting gun.
