A-level results: Delight for Gower student Kelly Howells
Students in Wales have been praised for their A-level results, with an increase in the percentage achieving the top grades.
The number of pupils who gained A* grades is up from 6% in 2013 to 6.7% - the highest since the grade was introduced in 2010.
Wales has also narrowed the gap with England after top marks fell there.
However, the proportion of students achieving A* to E grades fell slightly from 97.6% to 97.5%.
Kelly Howells, a student at Gower College near Swansea, was delighted to get the grades she needed - ABB - to go to Bournemouth University.
