Flintshire pupils get taste for local food

Primary school children in Flintshire are tucking into a taste of home as part of a project to teach them where food comes from.

Ten schools have school dinners which all have ingredients only sourced from local producers.

Taste of Flintshire Food Month organisers said the farms, dairies and growers involved were "incredibly enthusiastic".

Pupils were also shown a video showing them where their food comes from.

Pupils at Ysgol Gwenffrwd in Holywell were asked to give their verdict in one word - while Jane Clough, Taste of Flintshire coordinator explained what was involved.
