Hain backs Islamic State air strikes despite past mistakes
Former Foreign Office minister Peter Hain has said he backs air strikes against Islamic State militants in Iraq despite feeling "deeply allergic" after previous mistakes in the Middle East.
MPs will vote at the end of a Commons debate on Friday on whether Britain should join the US-led attacks on the group.
Speaking in the debate, the Neath MP said Islamic State forces must be tackled, although mistakes over the 2003 Iraq invasion made him feel "deeply allergic" to further military action in the region.
