Rail freight hope to ease Aberystwyth congestion

To ease the pressure and congestion on the roads around Aberystwyth, councillors have backed the use of the Cambrian rail line for transporting goods.

At the moment hundreds of lorries a day come in to the town carrying everything from food to timber.

Network Rail has said there could be a 30% increase in the use of railways to transport goods over the next decade.

Matt Murray took a slow drive to Aberystwyth.
