Cwmbran care home's small details to improve quality

Older people across Wales are becoming institutionalised, losing their identity and losing control over their lives, a report has found.

A year-long investigation by the older people's commissioner for Wales, Sarah Rochira said some care homes are seen as places of "irreversible decline".

She has called for big reforms in terms of accountability, staff training, and planning for future generations.

The review visited 100 care homes and looked at 2,000 questionnaire responses as part of its work.

Paul Heaney has been to one home which is getting things right in Cwmbran in Torfaen.
