Welsh union leader Mark Serwotka's life-saving device
Earlier this year, one of Britain's best known trade union leaders Mark Serwotka was told he would die without a life-saving operation.
The 51-year-old, who was raised in the south Wales valleys, became so ill doctors had to fit him with a small device to pump blood around his body.
Beginning his career as an Aberdare benefits officer, he went on to lead the PCS Union.
As Nick Palit reports, this new medical device has given him a new lease of life.
