Laws 'should be used to make Welsh farmers look after soil'
European laws should be enforced to make farmers in Wales to keep their soil in good condition, a charity has said.
Mud washed off harvested fields can lead to flooding on rural roads, the Wye and Usk Foundation has said.
It has asked Natural Resources Wales and the Welsh government to use laws to deal with farmers who fail to look after soil.
The charity has said the soil is also affecting the numbers of salmon and trout numbers in rivers.
