Wall collapses at Caernarfon as fans celebrate goal

A wall collapsed at a Welsh Cup game as fans celebrated their team scoring a goal.

The 3ft-high (0.9m) wall came away and sent a crowd of people tumbling on to the pitch at Caernarfon Town's match against the New Saints on Sunday afternoon.

According to the club's secretary Geraint Jones no-one was injured and play was stopped for 10 minutes while fans were helped up and moved.

The Football Association of Wales said it was unable to comment until it receives a report into what happened, which is expected next week.

Caernarfon later lost 3-2.
