Charity Mind Cymru says 'It's ok to talk' about suicide

A new plan to reduce suicides in Wales has been launched by Welsh ministers.

The five year Talk to Me 2 strategy aims to reduce the number of deaths of up to 350 a year by focusing on those considered more vulnerable.

The range of high risk groups includes bullied children, rough sleepers, prisoners, doctors, nurses and farmers.

Ruth Coombs of mental health charity Mind Cymru told BBC Radio Wales' Mai Davies it was about people having the confidence to have conversations if they thought someone was at risk - and knowing where to get help.
