Beeches Residential Park, Magor, evacuated after caravan fire

Residents who were evacuated after a fire at a caravan park in Magor were forced to take cover as the blaze caused a series of explosions.

Five fire crews were called to Beeches Residential Park in Grangewood at 16:13 GMT on Sunday.

A caravan and a shed were on fire and firefighters were initially concerned about the risk of an explosion due to the presence of gas cylinders.

Sixteen people were evacuated and no one was injured. The cause of the blaze is thought to be accidental.
